[He laughed, self-conscious, and brused his hand through her bangs. 'Noble with pretty eyes']

[ Instantly flustered by the flood of compliments she turned her head away, letting her hair hide her face as it grew red all over again. ]

Oh hush your face.

[Smiling, Eleven reached to tuck long strands of her hair behind her ear]

You asked.

[lancifolium]

You're all those things too, and caring and brave.

[ Because it was easier to turn it around on him than it was to take a compliment, plus it was all quite true. ]

[Eleven smiled through a hint of color]

I'm not as bold, but I did mention we're well-suited.

[lancifolium]

[ Pushing a hand through his hair she settled in against him again. ]

I'm the big mouth to your foresight?

[bearshermark]

[Eleven shifted comfortably, arm slung around her]

I wouldn't say I have much foresight.. [He sighs, content] But I suppose I won't argue if you think so well of me.

[lancifolium]

You could try to argue if you really wanted to, but I don't think you'll be able to change my opinion.

[ She lifted her chin enough to rest her head on his shoulder. ]

As long as you don't think we should not have done this. I don't want you to regret anything.

[He turned his head to look at her properly, words soft]

..I only regret how much pain it's going to cause you. But if you're happy with me like this, then I want to be able to continue to give that to you.

[lancifolium]

Don't, please? I don't.

[ Rolling onto her side, she wrapped her arm around him and hugged him closer. ]

There's nothing to regret, at least for me. I'm glad to have known you well enough to miss you like I will when we go.

[Shifting with her, Eleven pressed his cheek to the top of her head and breathed]

I'll try. ..Find something you can take home with you as a pleasant reminder, as you've given me.

[lancifolium]

[ Running her hands up and down his back as she held him, Lily chuckled lightly at the offer. ]

I know I'll go with plenty of things to remember, regardless - but for the sake of being properly courted I wouldn't refuse anything you gave me.

[Eleven hummed, quietly thoughtful as his body relaxed under Lily's soothing touch]

Is there anything particularly important to you from your world?

[lancifolium]

Important to me? I suppose the people in it are the most important. Horace and my parents of course. My sister too, though she isn't the most pleasant person in the world, she's still my big sister.

[ She tilted her head back to look at him. ]

What brings this on?

[He gave a shrug]

You made me a gift knowing Yggdrasil was important to me. But I'll give the matter more thought. I'm sure there's something..

I'd say you could make me a pair of rollerskates but I'm quite sure you couldn't forge those.

[ She would also bet money he has no idea what rollerskates were. ]

[As expected, a puzzled frown works its way across his face]

I can't say as I'm familiar.

[lancifolium]

Shoes with wheels on the bottom, they're fantastic.

[ Her's had glitter on them, but one confusing concept at a time. ]

El I hope you know I don't expect you to go to any trouble for me. If we make each other happy that's enough.

[The concept is a strange one, imagining wagon wheels on a pair of shoes. It sounds more dangerous than anything. But the importance pales to Lily's concern. He brushes a kiss to her temple]

I know. It's only a selfish wish of mine that you have something to return with.

[lancifolium]

[ That he was at all concerned with getting her something in return was incredibly sweet. She was glad for the way they were laying, it meant he wouldn't see how red her face had gone again. ]

Your selfish wishes aren't very selfish you know.

[ She turned her head upward, catching the underside of his chin with a kiss. ]

And you seem to think I won't take my flower back with me.

[He huffed a laugh into her hair]

It isn't likely to live for all that long, but that's good to know, too.

Rare flowers are surprising, it might make it til the end.

[ Moving a hand past his side she gently prodded at his chest as she said so. ]

I will adore anything you come up with and consider myself thoroughly courted.

[Eleven smiled, warmed]

I'll give it some thought. Perhaps forge something, after all..

Oh brilliant!

[ The idea of having something he made just for her seemed absolutely wonderful to Lily. ]

I haven't got any idea what to do with a sword or a knife or anything but, perhaps a bracelet?

[ She has nearly suggested he make a ring, but that struck her as a bit... Too courtly. ]

[Nodding, he hummed a pleased note. He hadn't expected to have an idea at all for a few days still, but]

I can do that, certainly. Just sort out a design, then source materials..

[He suppressed a short yawn] Yes. I haven't had an excuse to forge anything lately, so that will be nice.
